ART Panda art classes are designed for children of all ages. We focus on a creativity first approach in artistic expressions. Using various mediums, art principals and styles, for students to broaden their artistic expressions. Students are required to produce original works through the introduction of various creative art outlets. All finished art works are to be returned to students at the end of the term after being show cased. |
MATH Students learn advanced (a year ahead) common core math concepts using play methods. Our small group math class will cover all concepts of numbers,charts, patterns, comparison, base 10, place values. As well as learn to quickly solve addition, subtraction and fraction problems. Learn to read the clock, count money, know how to measure, understand geometry, and solve word problems. |
CHINESE Mandarin classes for non-native and native learners. Our classic non-native mandarin focuses on theme based vocabularies. Native learners can partake in PANDA ZI(熊猫字) Chinese traditional/simplified character learning. 2nd grade and up can learn with PANDA MC (欢乐伙伴 Singaporean curriculum). |

ART I, ART II, ART IIIThis quarter we are going to take an adventure back in time to learn about the way things use to be. Before smart phones/watches, cyber space, electric cars, e-mails existed another way of living. A sophisticated mechanical hands on era, when things worked without power without color. I think it’s important for our children to learn about the past so they can better appreciate the present. We’ll learn these things through drawing various mediums of retro steam ships, maps, automobiles, bicycles, postage stamps, phone booth, mechanical clocks and etc. Various art techniques will be introduced in each week’s drawing to work on lines, form, shapes, color, value, space and texture. Mainly to inspire student’s creativity by mixing their modern minds with old inventions. |

ChineseNon-native Chinese Chinese I-IV – Learn a series of theme based vocabularies which enables non-native learners to talk about their surroundings and the things that are most important to them. Classes are opened to parents who wants to join and learn along with your child. We’ll learn through songs, movements, art, and lots and lots of fun games. Heritage Chinese Chinese H1-H5 – Students will learn from Singapore’s top notch Chinese curriculum designed especially for foreign students living abroad. The current curriculum was redesigned and published last year in 2016. It has lots of rich content evolving character and pinyin learning. They’ve also added theme based vocabularies and dialogues to better help speaking. there’s also online content for at home learning. Panda class will teach students through games, activities, skits, as well as additional homework, study sheets, tests, and essay writing to help students master Mandarin. * Because these classes are consecutive, we advice families to sign up NOW so you don’t miss any lessons this year. Have your course material (欢乐伙伴)purchased prior to class. Early Learner Chinese KD – Students will learn 6 building block characters a weeks, each lesson will be a built on, on top of another lesson. We will learn both traditional and simplified characters through ancient pictographs. Young minds will learn to draw their writing out and depict meaning from each unique symbols shaped from their most original form. The characters will also built on to one another to form complex meaning and sentences to enable students to master reading, writing, and story building. |

My toddler and ILittle Hands – Parent and child engage in a series of fall themed art and craft projects to learn about color, form, and texture. Little Mind – Learn to count with apples, corn, and pumpkins. Learn the letters A,B,C,D,E and words associated, observe fall leaves and how it changes color. Little Feet – Dancing and singing to the sound of falling leaves, dripping rain drops, splashing puddles and more. Little Lips – Learn to say colors, numbers, shapes in Chinese. |
ARTThis quarter we are going to talk about color, specifically the use of red orange and yellow to create dynamic paintings. As well as how to use contrasting colors to bring forward warm tones. We will mainly work on landscape, trees, and vivid subject matters. Learn to integrate subjects with its surroundings. This quarter we are featuring Van Gogh as he is one of the masters in portraying fall. His painting in his later days often uses high contrasting to show emotion, he also utilize free flowing short brush strokes to show the background in motion. Students will learn to paint in blocked shapes, with lines, with various mediums to express how one can easily fall in love with this beautiful season. |

ARTThis quarter we are going to discover our true self through various portraits. Projects will involve various mediums to create surreal selves, made believe selves, realistic selves, and the un-perfect self. Students should acknowledge that not all faces have a smile sometimes we are gloomy, angry, confused, and feeling funny. Express it ! Don’t hide, be bold and show it! We will also learn about people from various cultural backgrounds and how exaggerated clothing and hair style are the key to ethnic identities. Learn to be open minded and accepting of all people, even if they look very different from you. Their stories and experiences shaped who they are, and each face tells a story. This quarter we are featuring the artist Frida Kahlo who is not afraid to show her uni-brow, her primitive outfits, hair due, and the painful symbols from her life. Frida says she loves to paint herself because she is the subject she knows best. Everyone is beautiful and unique, learn to embrace and appreciate our differences. |

ARTThis quarter we are discovering that the shapes and designs of various landmarks are bi-product of history, culture and one’s imagination. Ancient and modern iconic structures alike are artistic reflections of what people value and love. Each unique design in-compass our forefathers creativity and ability. Students will have the opportunity to learn to draw ancient wonders, modern marvels, and construct entire scenery using various art mediums, as well as using their imagination to create new structures. Come and join us to discover the importance of creativity in architecture designs, and to appreciate the history and culture of our ancestors. The artist we are featuring this quarter is Gustave Eiffel, the creator of the Eiffel tower. Gustave and his company has built a wide array of civil structures, from bridges, viaducts, train stations, hotels, light houses, churches, to post offices, At the heart of every designer is the love for humanity, and the willingness to challenge what seems to be impossible. |
